Leclerc confirms medical update after big Italian Grand Prix crash

During the opening laps of last Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, Leclerc hit the wall hard after losing control of his Ferrari while exiting the Parabolica.

It was a heavy impact, the Monegasque driver explained, but after undergoing all the necessary checks, he is ready to compete this weekend.

He told GPblog, among others: "Quite a lot of things, it was quite a big one, probably from outside it looked like a big one as well, but it felt also like a big one.

He also added that all check that were completed say he is ready. "I cannot really tell you honestly. I mean, in the medical world, what every check of the neck is called way too difficult for me to remember. So yeah, I did many checks and everything was fine," the Ferrari driver concluded.

The Monegasque driver was also asked about his Lap 1 incident with his teammate, Lewis Hamilton.

He said: "I think the most important is that is that we clarify the situation. We talked, I told Lewis how I felt, Lewis told me what he felt, and I think we fully agree with both of our views in hindsight when we speak without the emotions of the race.
