Toro Rosso have been fast this season and are genuine contenders in the midfield battle. Daniil Kvyat was unlucky not to score points last time out in Monza due to an oil leak but will be hoping that the Singapore Grand Prix provides more success.
“Our performance in the race last week showed that we are doing well. Unfortunately, there are sometimes technical problems that arise, after which you have to park the car at the side of the road,” Kvyat said in his vlog.
“I'm sure we had the pace to grab quite a few points in Monza, but unfortunately: it couldn't be. Now have to try to get those points back in Singapore. A circuit on which I have become sixth and ninth in the past, at a unique location. A long, bumpy lane with many turns in succession. One of the most demanding races on the calendar.
“It's a street circuit and so the adrenaline rushes through your body. Driving in the artificial light also adds extra excitement, making it a cool event all in all. In addition, it is also very hot and humid here: I am already trying to take this into account in my preparation."
The Singapore Grand Prix is always a spectacle and Kvyat will hope to add to his 33 points and finish in the top 10.
