The Formula 2 drivers faced a red flag after just four laps. It was Logan Sargeant who missed the turn and crashed into the wall. Fortunately for the driver, he was unhurt.
The American was having a disappointing race. Having already made a mistake at the start, the driver third in the championship suddenly had to try to finish in the points from the back. He took too much risk.
At turn seven, Sargeant made another mistake and drove his car into the wall, damaging the front end of his car. The front of his car was badly damaged. There were also a lot of parts laying on the track, which led to the decision of the race stewards to throw out a red flag.
