Stefano Domenicali is enjoying the Dutch Grand Prix, he told De Telegraaf. According to the Formula 1 boss, the organisation has again been able to produce a high level event this season, which should serve as an example for the other GPs.
Domenicali says that this is not just about the atmosphere on the pitch, but also about the mobility of the spectators. Where last season only a part of the fans were allowed to be present, this season the full capacity can be used. It does not seem to cause any problems, however.

Verstappen important part of success

In 2000 Domenicali was at the Dutch circuit for the first time. He frankly admits that at the time he did not expect the Formula 1 event to ever return to Zandvoort. Partly due to Verstappen, however, things turned out differently. "Verstappen has been able to rekindle the racing fire in the Netherlands," Domenicali says.
"Max is still very young, but already a champion who has proved that he attracts a lot of people. I almost said Michael earlier, instead of Max, because in his time Schumacher also showed how important it is to be such a superstar. Someone who can create something unique anywhere in the world. Max is starting to do that now too."

Verstappen, who took victory in the Netherlands last season, will start Sunday's race from pole position, followed by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez complete the first five drivers.
