David Coulthard believes nothing lasts forever reflecting on the dismissal of Christian Horner from Red Bull Racing. According to the former Formula 1 driver, these things are simply part of the job, and over the past 20 years, Horner has more than proven himself.
Leading up to the Belgian Grand Prix, Horner's departure from Red Bull remains a significant topic in Formula 1. While some stakeholders were surprised, the shock seemed to be less for former Red Bull driver Coulthard. He told Sport.de: "It's not my decision, so it's not for me to comment on it."
He continued: "But we know he's no longer with the team, and all we can do is look at the results the team has achieved over the past twenty years with him as a team principal, and they were pretty good."
Horner oversaw a total of 405 races for the Austrian team. During that period, the team won six constructors' championships, eight drivers' championships, 124 victories, 107 pole positions, and no less than 287 podium finishes. According to Coulthard, there is no reason for Horner to doubt his own qualifications. "He has no reason to think he hasn't achieved anything."

Coulthard also sees an expiry date for team personnel

The former Red Bull driver added that it's inevitable that at some point you have to leave. "Such is life: anyone who thinks everything lasts forever is living outside reality." This wisdom comes with the years, the Scot emphasized.
"Things change, and that's how it should be. That's life. In sports, drivers have at most a career of ten years, then the next generation comes along. Honestly don't see why should be any different for anyone involved in the sport," he concluded.
