Ross Brawn wants the talks about
Silverstone to be kept a secret.
It was a truly memorable weekend of Formula One we just enjoyed, but as it stands, the British circuit will be raced on for the final time, next season.
A long-term contract was signed that saw the iconic circuit being raced on until 2026.
However, the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) have now realised that the deal they struck with Bernie Ecclestone, which included an annual 5% increment, would mean that by the end of the deal - the initial £11.5m fee would have risen to £25m.
The two parties are unable to agree new terms and the BRDC broke the clause in the contract which allowed the deal to be terminated early and meaning the 2019 race will be the final race at Silverstone.
After the race on Sunday, F1's boss Ross Brawn revealed that the sport are determined to keep Silverstone in their plans, but wishes that the negotiations between the two parties will be kept away from the media.
"I'm sure we're going to find a solution because we cannot leave this behind," Brawn said to Sky Sports.
"The frustration is the negotiations are taking place in public.
"Every circuit we deal with, we do it quietly and get on with it, but for some reason Silverstone chooses to make everything public, which causes more difficulties.
"But we'll find a solution."
