Bottas notices change: 'I really don't care nowadays'

Valtteri Bottas has been driving for Alfa Romeo since this season. Although he had to get used to no longer fighting for wins, he is now enjoying his time at the team. The Finn, therefore, feels he has made the right move, he told Crash.net.

While Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi barely made it into the top ten last season, Alfa Romeo has a taste for good results in 2022 with Bottas. The driver scored a whopping 40 points more than his teammate Guanyu Zhou, putting him in tenth place in the standings.

Bottas looks with satisfaction at the results he has already managed to achieve this racing year. For years at Mercedes, the Scandinavian got used to fighting for podium finishes. That is not yet in the cards for Alfa Romeo, but in other areas he does feel that the formation is performing well.

"For example, fifth place in Imola for us as a team was almost like the feeling of a win. So it’s different, but I am really enjoying it a lot, this different mindset," states Bottas, who believes of himself that he has changed. "I really don’t care nowadays what people think of me and I just want to try and make the most out of my life and have fun."
