Bottas not bothered by rain warnings in Brazil

Valtteri Bottas isn't concerned about the threat of rain during qualifying and the race in Brazil. The Mercedes driver bases this on good wet weather performances earlier this season.

Lewis Hamilton put the Silver Arrow on pole in the wet Hungarian Grand Prix qualifying session. And the Mercedes duo crucially gained places during a wet period in the German event.

“It looks like it might rain tomorrow, but we’ve had a good package in the wet all year, so I don’t think that would be a big problem for us," Bottas said in an interview on the checkered flag.

Despite the jubilation in Hamilton's half of the garage, the last two race weekends haven't been positive for their car. They haven't been dominant in Mexico and Austin, but Hamilton said earlier how the car performance was improving.

Bottas agrees with his team-mate saying the car really improved for a better FP2 on Friday.

“It was a bit of a mixed day; Free Practice 2 was much better than Free Practice 1. The morning was quite difficult, it was easy to make mistakes," Bottas added.
