Andy Cowell, Adrian Newey, Eric Blandin, Fernando Alonso: these are some of the most respected names in F1. What do they all have in common? They're superstars, and they've been signed by Aston Martin to help bring the team to the absolute top of the series, which could not necessarily end up happening. In order to be the best, one needs to have the best team possible. Right? If one looks at the Real Madrid, for instance, there were many instances when the team had a team constituted by the very best players in the world, guided by the best technical team, and at the end of the year they found themselves empty handed, be that due to individualities, or to a clash of personalities, the outcome was the same.
Aston Martin to hit the same wall as Real Madrid?
Could Aston Martin face the same issue as the Spanish football team, albeit in F1 of course? How realistic does the British racing green coloured team view this potential issue?
Speaking to media like GPblog after the race in Monaco, Cowell addressed the topic: "One thing's for certain, the team's been very welcoming to Adrian (Newey, Aston Martin's managing technical partner, ed.) and to myself."
According to Cowell the personnel's openness to change is a highly positive signal for the team who wants to conquer Formula One.
"And everybody's really, really keen to move forwards. So there's an enthusiasm to make change. As I suggest things to change, as Adrian does, it's been embraced and that to me is an indication of a group of people that have all got the same objective."

Cowell, Newey and Alonso lead Aston Martin into the future
"Is that the definition of a team? I'd say there's a team that are proud to wear green and we're striving to turn the vision that Lawrence has had, the investment that he's put in, the trust that he's putting in us, to turn that into an engineering machine that can create fast race cars."
In this learning phase, Aston Martin have an all-hands-on-deck approach and world champions Cowell, Newey and Alonso are leading the charge in their respective areas, as they can hardly wait to have a taste of victories and success yet again.
"At the moment we're learning so everything that we observe, everything that Adrian observes, that I observe, that Fernando comments on, it's being worked on to improve and we're setting lofty ambitions and we're impatient."
