Speaking to GPblog, the 29-year-old referenced the hard work and leadership of team principal James Vowles as key to the success recorded.
“I think there are no big secrets, just hard work and great leadership from James [Vowles]. We've had a few years where we maybe took a step back,” he began.
The Thai driver continued by highlighting that the Williams team’s foundations have become healthier, which translated into the surge in performance experienced between 2024 and 2025.

“I think 2024 stands out to me as a year of setbacks, but the foundations of the team became a lot healthier, and you saw a big jump from 2024 to 2025. There was great positivity, a great culture within the team, and great optimism as well.”
The Williams team recorded its best campaign in recent years in 2025. The team made a massive improvement on the 17 points achieved in 2024. The Grove-based outfit finished fifth in the Constructors’ Championship, with a total of 137 points.
Albon’s teammate, Carlos Sainz also recorded multiple podium finishes for the outfit at the Azerbaijan and Qatar Grands Prix, respectively.

Albon positive about 2026

While Albon remains pleased with the outing of the Williams team in 2025, the 29-year-old is also confident in the team’s prospects for 2026.
The former Red Bull Racing driver expressed his belief that the Grove outfit can achieve great success under the new regulations.
“I feel like there's confidence in the team as well. Next year, in many ways, it's not random; you can start off slow, or you can start off quick,” he began.
“I think we've got a great team behind us who can find solutions and adapt quickly. I was in this team during our first regulation change in 2022, and it was a tough, tough year.”
“I look at the team now and see how much healthier we are. I have so much confidence in the team to deliver a good car next year,” Albon concluded.
