Ralf Schumacher has sided with Helmut Marko following the former Red Bull advisor’s recent assessment of Christian Horner. “You have to agree with Helmut Marko: the team was a disaster.”
- Ralf Schumacher The 50-year-old, aligning his thoughts with the former Red Bull advisor, stated how the Milton Keynes-based outfit appeared to have quickly fallen apart.
Schumacher further criticised Horner’s management style, describing it as overly controlling and a factor in the loss of key personnel.
“You have to agree with Helmut Marko: the team was a disaster, it fell apart. It lost an incredible number of personnel and employees,” Schumacher said via Sky Germany.

“All because of Christian Horner, because he displayed a way of behaving that, internally, was characterised as: ‘He was the only one who mattered.’ That cost good people, and the big problem on the other side was: nobody wanted to come anymore,” he added.

Max Verstappen might have secured the 2025 Drivers’ Championship had the team dismissed Horner sooner.
The Red Bull team announced the sacking of Horner days after the British Grand Prix. The former team principal was dismissed amid an underwhelming run of results experienced by the team.

The reports state the British motorsports chief is exploring the possibility of purchasing a percentage of the team alongside a group of investors.
