The new Power Rankings are online. The panel of The official website of Formula 1 shone their light on the performance of the drivers during the Russian Grand Prix. The top six are very close to each other this time, but who will take the victory?

Norris misses out on a perfect score

The win in the Power Rankings this week goes to Lando Norris. "Norris didn't convert his first pole position into what would have been a stunning victory, but the judges had no doubt that the McLaren driver had shown something special," reads the judges' verdict. Norris is therefore rewarded with a 9. "It would have been a perfect or near-perfect score without the nightmare in the last few laps."

Max Verstappen (8.5) is in a shared third place with George Russell this time, behind Carlos Sainz (8.7). According to the jury, a seventh place was obvious without the Dutchman's perfect decision to switch to the intermediate tyre. The winner of the Russian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton, follows in fifth place with an 8.3.

Many changes in the ranking

The top three in the Power Rankings remain the same after Russia. Max Verstappen (9.0), Lando Norris (8.6) and Lewis Hamilton (8.1) were rated best this season. Charles Leclerc was shared third with Hamilton after Italy, but has to make do with fourth place in the rankings after Russia.

George Russell (7.8) rises to fifth place in the standings due to his good performance in Russia, followed by no less than three drivers in ninth place. Pierre Gasly, Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz all have an average rating of 7.6. Esteban Ocon is ninth with a 6.8 and shares that spot with Daniel Ricciardo who enters the top ten this week.
