There is work to be done for Max Verstappen in the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Dutchman was only third in qualifying on Saturday afternoon, so the 23-year old will have to move up a place if he wants to maintain his lead in the world championship.

Verstappen's lead over rival Lewis Hamilton is just eight points. If the seven-time World Champion wins the race and Verstappen comes third, Hamilton will go into the summer break as leader of the World Championship. There is also a scenario in which both men have the same number of points after eleven Grands Prix. Should Hamilton win and take the fastest lap and Verstappen finishes in P2, they will both have 203 points.

This is the start time of the Hungarian GP

Verstappen will have to make do in the early stages of the Hungarian GP, as Mercedes will be able to keep go longer on their medium tyres. When the lights go out the hope is therefore for a good start for the Dutchman. The race at the Hungaroring starts at 14:00hrs. The finish is expected around 15:40hrs in Budapest.

Sergio Perez will start on the second row of the grid, just like his teammate. Starting from fourth, he can help Verstappen put pressure on Mercedes to perhaps try something strategic that way. It's also important to watch out for the unleashed Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris from behind.
