Leclerc: 'We had many doubts about that'

Charles Leclerc managed to get his Ferrari into the points again this weekend at Imola. The Monegasque finished fifth in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and he himself is very pleased with the steps Ferrari has taken in recent weeks.

"We had many questions about the pace at the softs, because things were not going well at the Nurburgring. Today things went reasonably well because we were stronger than Daniel Ricciardo in the first stint," said Leclerc to Sky Sports F1.

According to Leclerc, this is important for the future. "We weren't perfect in this race and we will analyse things to get better in the next one. We would like to finish higher, but this is something positive. Especially the run with soft tyres, so we understand that we can use these tyres when we do our job well."
