Pierre Gasly drove a phenomenal qualifying session to a seventh place on the grid, but fell back to eleventh place in the race. The team takes the blame for this, while Gasly is still watching Red Bull Racing.
“Pierre started from seventh, he had a good start and in the first few laps, he defended his position well showing good pace. However, we clearly made a mistake strategy-wise, as we called him in too early for his first pit stop," said Franz Tost after the race according to Racefans.net.

Gasly to Red Bull again?

Pierre was asked by Sky Italia after the race if he's still aiming for a return to Red Bull Racing. After a year in Formula 1 the young Frenchman already had the opportunity to join Red Bull in 2019. The adventure didn't last long, however, as after just six months Gasly was replaced by Alexander Albon.
''It is still my goal to go as fast as possible and to achieve great results. I'd like to go to the podium and of course I'm working hard to get that chance again at Red Bull. I've always fought for the cups in other categories and that's what I want to do again in Formula 1'', concludes the driver of AlphaTauri.
