Pierre Gasly has vowed to race on to the best of his ability this weekend at the Italian Grand Prix, despite the tragic passing of his close friend Anthoine Hubert remaining very close in his thoughts.
Hubert passed away after a crash during Saturday's Formula 2 race whilst Correa the other driver involved was moved to intensive care in the UK. The incident was a reminder of the dangers which are involved in motorsport.
Pierre Gasly was close friends with Hubert and before the F1 race at Spa told Charles Leclerc to win it for the Frenchman.
Gasly admitted that his friend will remain in his thoughts but he will do his best to focus on racing.
"Just a few days on from that terrible Saturday in Spa, I am still thinking a lot about Anthoine, but we are here to race and I will be trying my best as usual this weekend," Gasly said in Toro Rosso's preview.

Gasly also went on to talk about the grid penalty he is set to take as he takes Honda's new power unit.
"I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend. My race might be quite exciting, as I will have grid penalties because of taking on the latest specification Honda PU, so I will be trying to fight my way up the order from the back of the grid."
