Max Verstappen qualified first, but because of his grid penalty, he started from 11th starting spot on Sunday. He crossed the finish line fifth after 44 laps at Spa, but eventually finished in P4 another place due to Russell's disqualification. He could also manage to stay ahead of Lando Norris, so he could extend his lead in the drivers' standings.
For Perez, this Sunday could be another day to forget. The Mexican started P2 during the race after a P3 finish in qualifying because of Verstappen's grid penalty, but he finished in P7. Hamilton won the race, Oscar Piastri finished in second and Charles Leclerc completed the podium with a third-place finish. Who is your GPblog Driver of the Day? You can vote below!
