George Russell set the fastest time in Q3 and will start the Azerbaijan Grand Prix from pole position on Saturday afternoon. The Briton finished more than eight-tenths of a second ahead of Charles Leclerc.
The Monegasque finished in second place, while Oscar Piastri completed the top three today. Lando Norris made a mistake on his final lap and will start from fifth place.
Isack Hadjar was quicker than Max Verstappen on his return from injury. The Frenchman will start from P4, while the Dutchman had to settle for eighth place in qualifying. Lewis Hamilton finished in sixth place.
It was a day to forget for championship leader Kimi Antonelli. The Mercedes driver hit the wall at Turn 1 in Q1, breaking the car's front-left suspension and forcing him to park on track. With a time he had set earlier in the session, he made it through to Q2, but he will have to start from P16 on the grid.
After the latest updates were introduced to the Williams car, Carlos Sainz managed to get through to Q3. The Spaniard finished in ninth place today. See the full results below!
