F1 Full Results | Verstappen sets the pace ahead of Russell in FP3

After the first stints were completed, George Russell was the quickest. The Mercedes and Red Bull Racing drivers began the session on the medium tyres, while Ferrari and McLaren had already opted for the softs.

However, after the final laps were completed in FP3, the Dutchman managed to snatch first place from Russell. The gap between the two drivers was less than a tenth of a second. Lewis Hamilton completed the top three after getting a great slipstream on his final lap.

Kimi Antonelli finished fourth, three and a half tenths of a second behind Verstappen. Charles Leclerc set the fifth-fastest time.

The two McLaren drivers, Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, finished seventh and eighth, respectively, as Alpine's Pierre Gasly managed to outperform both McLaren cars on his best lap of the session.

As the entire weekend has been moved forward by a day because of Azeri Remembrance Day on Sunday, the day will continue with qualifying at 13:00 BST.
