Williams driver Lance Stroll has slammed his team's car this year, saying that Williams's "terrible" FW41 has made no progress whatsoever throughout the entire season.

The Grove-based team have experienced a nose-dive in performance this season, as they've been rock-bottom of the constructors' championship for pretty much the entire year. Stroll, who will move to Force India next season, has not been having a good time.

He's had a few races where he scored points, with a P8-finish in Baku being the highest finish for him and for the team all season, but generally speaking, the 20-year-old is not happy with the way things have gone at Williams.

“Generally the car hasn’t been there, it’s been terrible to drive," he was quoted by RaceFans.

"The performance just has been awful. That’s been frustrating but that’s how it is. I’ve digested it.

“It’s been a very challenging year with the car. It just hasn’t been performing at all. So I’m ready to turn the page and move on.”

His move to Force India still hasn't been made official yet as the Pink Panthers are waiting for Esteban Ocon to announce what he will be doing next year before announcing Stroll.

Dipping from scoring 40 points in 2017 to scoring six in 2018, Stroll has been outright disappointed with proceedings at the team, especially on the front of development.

“Overall I expected much more from us as a team this year and from the car, we haven’t developed the car at all. We have the same car that we had in Australia which is a bit of a shame.”
