Haas F1's Romain Grosjean has indicated that the five-second penalty that he got handed in France last weekend still bothers him, as the Frenchman thinks he did nothing wrong.

Grosjean got hit with the penalty because he had made contact with his fellow countryman Esteban Ocon at the very start of the race at Paul Ricard. It took quite a long time for the stewards to complete the investigation, but Grosjean eventually got penalized for his driving, much to his disagreement.

"Tell me what I did wrong? That's how you get a five-second penalty," the Haas driver told Autosport.

"Did I move my steering wheel? Did I do anything?"

"It's absolute nonsense, that's all I can say.

"I couldn't know he was there because I'm almost on the edge of the track so I'm not expecting a car to be there."

This is certainly not the first time Grosjean has been involved in an accident this year. Whether he crashes into the barriers himself like he did in Baku or whether he smashes into his opponents like he did in Barcelona, there's always something going on with Romain.

His victim of last weekend, Esteban Ocon, wasn't happy with the incident. Grosjean explained that he tried to apologize, but to no avail.

"I apologised. I sent him a text saying 'I didn't see you, sorry'.

"Anyway I think he ruined his grand prix two corners later," he referenced to Ocon clashing with Pierre Gasly later-on in the first lap.
