From former Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner delivering an update on his potential return to Formula 1, to the Miami Grand Prix weekend being reshaped by major schedule changes, we bring you the biggest stories across the sport in today’s F1 Today.

Horner delivers update on future

Christian Horner has provided a fresh update on his plans to return to Formula 1, outlining both a possible timeline and the type of role he could pursue.
The 52-year-old remains without a team following his departure from Red Bull last July, although his gardening leave officially ended on April 9. In recent months, speculation has grown over a possible involvement with Alpine, with reports linking him to a potential move to acquire a stake in the team currently held by Otro Capital – a development that could open the door to a return in a shareholder capacity similar to Toto Wolff at Mercedes.
However, Horner has now stressed that he is in no immediate rush to re-enter the F1 paddock, revealing that he is enjoying time away from the sport and following other racing series, including MotoGP, where he attended the Spanish Grand Prix as a guest of Liberty Media.

Miami Grand Prix schedule flipped on its head

The Miami Grand Prix weekend is set to look significantly different following a series of late adjustments, including changes to the Formula 1 practice format and the addition of Formula 2 action.
Following the cancellations of both the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix due to ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Formula 1 experienced an extended break after the Japanese Grand Prix. Racing now resumes next weekend in Florida. Under the revised schedule, the only free practice session of the Miami weekend has been expanded from 60 to 90 minutes. The changes also extend to the support series, with Formula 2 added to the event in an effort to avoid a lengthy mid-season gap in its calendar.
