Max Verstappen believes that Lewis Hamilton has not really faced any competition over the past few seasons. The Red Bull Racing driver is hopeful that his team will be able to pressure the reigning world champion and that he will crack when he has to race wheel to wheel.
"I think the only competition he has had over the years has been his teammate. In general, their car has been simply too dominant for the others throughout the season to do anything about it," Verstappen told Reuters.
“That's why I don't think we've been able to really test it so far. He was just a bit too comfortable. I can't wait to make it difficult for him now. I think he knows that."
With Verstappen making these bold comments, Formula 1 fans will only hope that Red Bull have actually made a competitive car and that we can see the two drivers battle it out on the track.
