Marc Marquez regained his MotoGP title lead in perhaps the most bizarre sprint race of the season so far.
The Ducati rider leapfrogged Jorge Martin in the standings, moving four points clear, with his Aprilia rival previously cruising towards an easy win.
The third man in the championship, Marco Bezzecchi, crashed at Turn 1, taking out pole sitter Raul Fernandez.
Martin capitalised to perfection and created a healthy lead of almost two seconds.

However, in the closing stages, he sat up and turned his head, with Marquez passing into first.
Martin quickly closed the gap again and looked set to challenge for the lead in the final laps, but one more mistake pushed him down the order.
The 2024 champion eventually crossed the line in fourth, handing the championship lead back to Marquez.
Marquez looked absolutely shattered afterwards, sitting on the floor as his fellow podium sitters got ready for the ceremony.

But the effort was worth it, not only in regaining the title lead, but also in winning at what was seen as his bogey circuit and perfect for Aprilia dominance.
