Marc Marquez capitalizes on Bezzecchi ban with huge win in Brno

Marc Marquez claimed another stunning victory at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno after holding off Ai Ogura and Pecco Bagnaia in a tense battle.
The race was thrown into chaos before it even began when championship leader Marco Bezzechi was suspended for striking a track marshal after his crash in yesterday's sprint. Meanwhile his closest challenger, Jorge Martin, was forced to serve a double long lap penalty due to his crash on the opening lap in Hungary two weeks ago.
Pole-sitter Ai Ogura took the holeshot on the opening lap, but it wasn't long before the Ducati duo of Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez got through.
Marquez made his attack on Lap 16 to pass Bagnaia and hand him into the jaws of Ogura who made his move one lap later. Despite a late charge from the young Japanese rider, Marquez managed to hang on to claim his second consecutive victory this season. The gap now sits at just 40 points between Marquez and Bezzecchi.
Pedro Acosta was forced to retire on the final lap after his KTM once again suffered an engine-cut out, thankfully this time he was able to pull of the circuit without a crash.
