Pecco Bagnaia has finally addressed the speculation surrounding his Ducati future with rumours that he is set to be replaced by Pedro Acosta circling around the paddock.
Bagnaia, who won two back-to-back world championships with Ducati in 2022 and 2023 has struggled to adapt to the arrival of teammate Marc Marquez who all but trounced the Italian in the 2025 season standings.
I will decide very soon
- Bagnaia on Ducati future
While Marc clinched his seventh premier class title in red last year, Bagnaia struggled with a tubulent season which saw him pick up just two race victories throughout the season - ultimately leaving him in a fifth place overall finish behind the likes of Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzechi.
As one of the hottest young talents to enter MotoGP in recent memory, Acosta is on the radar of every top team as they look towards the future and the sweeping regulation changes set to take effect in 2027.

Rumours have also arisen that Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 world champion and one of Pecco's career rivals, could be set to depart his long-time home of Yamaha for their Japanese arch-rivals Honda at the end of the season.
The majority of the grid still have not secured contracts for 2027 and beyond, with further speculation that Jorge Martin could be on the move from Aprilia come the season's end.
In this case, many options could open up for Bagnaia, who addressed the recent rumours in an interview at the pre-season test in Sepang this week.
"On the table in front of me I have great opportunities and I will decide very soon," remarked Bagnaia.
