Dani Holgado claimed a memorable victory in the Moto2 class at the Brazilian Grand Prix in Goiania, holding off a late charge from Dani Munoz to secure his second victory of the year.
After starting on pole position, Holgado took control in the early laps, streaking clear of the field, but had to battle with Munoz in the later laps to hang onto the race win.
Championship favourite Manuel Gonazles had a solid race, picking up a podium finish after a last-lap overtake on Alex Escrig.
Elsewhere, it was a heroic comeback for David Alonso after suffering a horrible accident in Thailand, he completed the race and finished fifth, just ahead of Izan Guevarra.
It was a disappointing race for the likes of Senna Agius, Denis Oncu and Aron Canet, who struggled at the back of the field for the majority of the race.

Elsewhere, there were crashes for Navarro, Piqueras and Furusato, but all riders were uninjured and able to leave the track without assistance.
