Sainz goes on trip to Italy with girlfriend to cheer on his world champion friend

Sainz visited Sanremo together with his girlfriend, Rebecca Donaldson, to support his friend at the first cycling monument of the 2026 season.

"Hi everyone! Today we are going to Sanremo. We are going to watch the end of the Milano-Sanremo cycling race. My very good friend, Tadej Pogacar, is going to try and win his first-ever Milano-Sanremo, and we are going to there, which I'm very excited about. So let's see, fingers crossed," the Spaniard began his road trip video.

After crossing the finish line first by beating British rider Tom Pidcock in the final sprint, the Slovenian was immediately greeted by the Williams driver.

Sainz was then on the podium as well with Pogacar, Pidcock and Wout van Aert.

After the race, the Spaniard added: "He did it, he won! And we were there to see and support, so that was a good day. Big fanboy here!"
