LIVEBLOG: The second free practice for the Portuguese Grand Prix
The circuit in Portimao is new on the Formula 1 calendar. Where in the past the GP of Portugal was held at Estoril, Boavista and Monsanto, the return after 24 years in Portugal is now on the circuit in the Algarve. A technical circuit and therefore a challenge for the drivers.

Red Bull closer to Mercedes?
Red Bull Racing hope to take the next step in the pursuit of Mercedes in Portugal. Max Verstappen seemed closer at the Nürburgring, but was this due to a good update from Red Bull or was Mercedes not optimally prepared due to the lack of practice sessions in Germany?
During the second free practice, the teams prepare for a qualifying set-up and also test their cars over long runs. Who already has the setup properly organized and who still has work to do to get everything in order for Saturday? You can see it all during the second free practice.
