Former Williams driver Logan Sargeant, who has been away from the Formula 1 paddock for the past two years, has revealed on social media that he has married his partner Riley Whittall.
The American spent a season and a half in Formula 1 alongside Alexander Albon. Although he never made headlines for standout results, he remained a popular figure among fans, who continued to show their support for him, particularly on social media.
Williams brought Sargeant's Formula 1 career to an early end following the 2024 Dutch Grand Prix, opting to replace him with Franco Colapinto for the remainder of the season. The decision followed a challenging campaign in which the American was unable to score any points and struggled to match the pace of teammate Alexander Albon.
The final blow came after a heavy accident during the Zandvoort weekend, with Williams deciding a change was needed as Albon continued to carry the team's challenge almost single-handedly through a series of competitive performances.
Sargeant's Formula 1 career came to an end after 36 Grand Prix starts, during which he collected just one championship point. That result came in front of his home crowd at the 2023 United States Grand Prix, where he finished 10th.

Away from the Formula 1 paddock, Sargeant has now reached a major personal milestone, marrying his longtime partner, Riley Whittall.

Sargeant has nothing to prove to anyone after his Formula 1 stint

Speaking to GPblog back in April, Sargeant looked back on the two years that followed his Williams exit during the second half of the 2024 Formula 1 season. The American revealed he had embraced a quieter life in Florida, making the most of the opportunity to spend time with friends and family after years of constantly travelling for racing.
Despite giving the impression on social media that he had left motorsport behind, Sargeant explained that he had never fully closed the door on a return. He instead allowed himself time away from competition before eventually deciding that his passion for racing was still there, paving the way for his move to the World Endurance Championship.

Sargeant also explained that, once he had taken time away from racing and started working with a new manager, opportunities quickly began to emerge. The American felt endurance racing was the natural next step in his career, having already experienced the paddock environment in the past and enjoyed its atmosphere.
