Max Verstappen has secured a good starting position for Saturday's United States GP. Behind the Dutchman, Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Pérez will line up on the grid. A good starting position is important on this circuit, as we have seen in recent years. Every winner of the past eight years started from either first or second place. So it will mainly be a battle between Verstappen and Hamilton, who will start from P2.

When does the United States Grand Prix start?

The United States Grand Prix will start at 20:00 on Sunday evening in the United Kingdom. The drivers will do 56 laps on the Circuit of the Americas. The finish is expected around 21:30.
This edition of the United States GP will again be exciting. On Friday we saw the Mercedes drivers being the fastest in the first free practice and Sergio Perez in the second free practice. For Verstappen, a third time was the best he could achieve in FP1 and an eighth place in FP2. On Saturday afternoon Verstappen was the fastest. Valtteri Bottas has to start from ninth place due to his grid penalty and will try to reach the podium. We can expect some nice overtaking actions from him.

High temperatures

Even though Verstappen will start from first place, it is difficult to predict who will take the win on Sunday. The temperatures will be very high on Sunday. This means it can go either way. There is a big chance that teams will use different strategies when it comes to tyre choice. In short, a race full of spectacle.
