Serious problems at Ferrari: Magnussen's engine almost gave up as well

Lawrence Binotto, a journalist from the official Formula 1 website present at the Red Bull Ring, writes on his Twitter that he spoke with Kevin Magnussen afterwards and that the Dane was also hampered in his driving.

The Haas F1 driver eventually crossed the finish line in eighth place, two spots behind teammate Mick Schumacher. Magnussen had to drive around the problems, but he managed to do so well. His relief after crossing the finish line was great. "I prayed to God that my engine would not explode. Fortunately, that didn't happen in the end."

For Ferrari, this means that there is at least work to be done towards the French Grand Prix in a fortnight's time. In Maranello, the engines will be examined the coming week to find out what exactly is wrong.
