Norris: "That's why Ricciardo adds something to the team"

The McLaren team delivered a stellar performance last season by finishing third. Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz were responsible for that. The latter has made the move to Ferrari and his replacement came from the Renault in the form of Daniel Ricciardo. Norris is looking forward to the collaboration.

"It's going to be a good season where we're going to make further progress," Norris told motorsport-total.com. Ricciardo's arrival ensures that new ideas are coming in at McLaren with which they can develop further. Something Norris sees as positive.

"I like working with someone else and learning a few things. Especially if that driver has won several races. Some even say he is the best on the grid. For me a good opportunity to compare myself to him," said the young Brit.

The arrival of Ricciardo means that for the first time in three years McLaren has a driver who has won races in Formula 1. Before that, it was Fernando Alonso who had won several races. Next season he will be back in F1 at Alpine.
