Isack Hadjar triggered the first yellow flag of the Australian Grand Prix after suffering an engine problem at the Albert Park Circuit.
The Red Bull Racing driver, who had secured the best qualifying result of his Formula 1 career with third place, was running in fifth when the technical failure struck, bringing his race to a dramatic end as smoke poured from the car.
Reacting over team radio, the French driver said: “Come on! It’s broken. Everything.”

While Hadjar’s misfortune added to his growing woes in Australia, several drivers, including both Mercedes cars, opted to pit for a double stack. The incident leaves Max Verstappen as the only Red Bull still running in the race at Albert Park.
