This weekend, Zandvoort is all about Formula 1. Tens of thousands of fans are traveling to the coastal town for the final Dutch Grand Prix, and the live webcams let you follow the crowds throughout the entire race weekend. Watch above to see F1 fans arriving at Zandvoort station and heading toward the circuit.
For many visitors, the Dutch GP begins at Zandvoort aan Zee train station. During the race weekend, numerous extra trains run to transport the huge flow of visitors to and from the seaside resort. From the station, it’s only a short walk to Circuit Zandvoort.
Around arrival and departure times, this results in striking images, as seen on the YouTube channel Live Railcam Zandvoort. The webcam at the station provides a good picture throughout the day of how many supporters are on the move and how busy it is in Zandvoort. Friday featured the first and only free practice and the sprint qualifying, Saturday followed with the sprint race and qualifying, and on Sunday the final Dutch GP for the time being will be held.
Partly because the sprint race began as early as 12:00 p.m., it was already busy at Zandvoort station on Saturday morning. On top of that, there were reports of disruptions in the morning and trains being canceled, which caused some chaos for travelers. On Sunday morning as well, it was relatively busy early with fans wanting to arrive on time, after which the flow of people increased significantly as the morning progressed.

The race weekend can be followed from home not only around the station. Elsewhere in Zandvoort, there’s also a webcam pointed at the boulevard and the beach, available on the YouTube channel Live webcams Zandvoort. This allows you to see how busy the coast is throughout the weekend and, importantly during a Grand Prix weekend, how the weather conditions are developing.
Circuit Zandvoort lies directly behind the dunes, so the footage from the coast also gives a good impression of the weather around the circuit. Cloud cover, rain, and clear spells are often clearly visible from the beach. Especially during a sprint weekend, in which Formula 1 immediately runs a full program from Friday, changing conditions can have major consequences.

For Dutch fans, it’s also the last chance to see Verstappen in action on home soil during a Formula 1 weekend. After the return of the Dutch GP in 2021, the curtain will definitively fall on the event after Sunday’s race. It ensures that Zandvoort is taken over one final weekend by Formula 1 and the many fans flocking to the coastal town.
