Scenes at Karting WC: Racer throws bumper at competitor

Motor racing can be a frustrating sport, especially for drivers who feel they have been unfairly treated. In Formula 1 this seldom can lead to a scuffle, but many young drivers find it more difficult to hold back.

So did Luca Corberi at the world karting championship in Lonato. What exactly happened that made the 23-year-old Italian so angry is not entirely clear from the images, but the Italian threw his broken front bumper at an opponent's head.

That opponent was said to be 24-year-old Paolo Ippolito and after the race, Corberi came to tell give his side of the story in very aggressive fashion. In the ensuing struggle, some fathers also let their voices be heard.
