Red Bull Racing had an eventful weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix. While Max Verstappen took the win, Sergio Perez had to retire early due to problems with his car. In the latest episode of Behind The Charge, the Austrian racing team takes us back to the race weekend in Montreal.

Severe weather conditions on Saturday meant the Formula One drivers had to work hard to qualify. Perez was unable to leave his car in one piece in Q2. The Mexican missed a corner and unintentionally drove into a wall.

Verstappen was a lot happier with his performance in qualifying. The Dutchman remained calm in all sessions and in Q3 was even more than six tenths quicker than Fernando Alonso, who finished in second place. This gave him confidence for Sunday's race.

Bad luck for Perez, Verstappen takes win

A day later, Perez had to deal with another disappointment. Within ten laps, his car broke down, leaving him with no option but to pull over and give up. Verstappen held off Carlos Sainz for the rest of the race to take victory in Canada.
