Red Bull Racing could change its sportswear supplier starting from the 2027 season, according to German outlet Bild. Adidas is said to provide the team’s apparel beginning next year. The contract, as reported, would run for three years and strengthen Adidas’ presence among the top teams in
Formula 1.
While it also translates to an expansion of Adidas’ grip on the front-running teams in
F1, it is expected to bring the Red Bull team an estimated €27 million per season. The Austrians currently work with Castore.
As of now, Mercedes and the Audi team are the only teams on the Formula 1 grid in partnership with the German sportswear manufacturer. The report details that both teams have their fees pegged at a similar range to what is expected for Red Bull.
Verstappen's team was also already presented with designs some time ago. Blue is said to remain the dominant color, but the brand used fresh accents to give the team 'new life'.
"We generally do not comment on rumors and speculation," an Adidas spokesperson reacted to the rumour.
