Alfa Romeo has no intention of simply leaving the premier class of motorsport. Yet the Italian marque's options are pretty limited.
Viaplay already hinted at talks between Alfa Romeo and Haas F1 during the
Monaco Grand Prix weekend, and journalist Joe Saward confirms something similar on his
own website.
He saw Alfa Romeo's CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato stop by
Guenther Steiner's office at a quiet moment on Saturday morning. The content of that conversation has not come out, but is anyone's guess. Haas F1 appears to be Alfa Romeo's last option for a longer stay at the top level.
