Zhou on Alfa Romeo contract extension: 'Everything looks promising'

Alfa Romeo has still not announced Guanyu Zhou's contract extension. It is one of the last available seats for the upcoming season. Zhou reveals that his future with the team looks promising.

The Chinese driver has now collected six points for the Alfa Romeo team. Zhou has not had an easy season, as the rookie has already DNF'd four times. At the Italian Grand Prix, he took home another one point, but no confirmation on Zhou's contract followed at Alfa Romeo's home circuit.

"It's not decided yet. We have one or two plans, and we have to decide on the contract depending on the feedback. We are talking about the future now and everything looks promising, but we have to wait", the Alfa Romeo driver says in conversation with Mundo Deportivo.

Valtteri Bottas does already have a contract for next year. Zhou enjoys working with the Finn. "He has helped me a lot. I hope to stay with him, the atmosphere is very good in the team." In the future, Zhou hopes to fight for podium finishes, but for now he mainly wants to learn a lot.
