Zak Brown has praised Andreas Seidl for the way he has come into McLaren and got the team to perform this season. Seidl joined the team from Porsche and has played an important role in ensuring Mclaren finish the season 4th and will hope that he can play a part in their success in the future.
"There was no clarity in leadership," Brown said to AS. "While now everything is addressed to one person and Andreas did a great job. Obviously, he didn't build the car, because it was designed last year, but it brought clarity and leadership in the organization, restructuring [the team] in a simpler way, with James Key and Andrea Stella and with a clear indication of what every person has to do."
McLaren have had a really strong season and both drivers, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz, have really stood out and impressed.
"We knew that Lando was extremely fast and I was very happy to see how mature he was," Brown explained. "While we already knew that Carlos was very fast, but took a step forward in our environment.
"We did not believe that they would find each other ill, but it is true that we did not expect to have such a good working environment. We could not assume that these two drivers would arrive and they would have worked well under the kind of pressure that exists in F1.″
