Wolff shares Mercedes' 'new focus' message, 2026 season is now underway

On Monday, Mercedes revealed its car launch plans for the 2026 campaign. Fans can first see images of the W17 on January 22. Then, on February 2, a digital launch event will follow.

At the same time, Toto Wolff also addressed the season ahead on social media. The Austrian CEO and team principal addressed the fans: "New year, new focus. Now, we look forward to new challenges, to new possibilities. 2026 isn't just another season. It's the next generation."

Meanwhile, Mercedes is working hard in preparation for the upcoming Formula 1 season.

The team's reserve driver, Frederik Vesti, has posted a photo on social media, explaining that the season has now truly begun.

The Danish driver wrote: "We're so back. In the sim today to kick off the 2026 F1 season, the hard work begins!"

After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, George Russell revealed his excitement for the 2026 regulation change.

"Can't f****** wait, to be honest. I can't wait. I'm glad this season is done and this era is over. It's been so tough for a lot of teams, very difficult to understand, but we've all got a clean slate next year and that's good," the Mercedes driver told GPblog.
