After Mercedes' difficulties during the ground effect era, George Russell could not hide his excitement for the upcoming regulation change. "Can't f****** wait, to be honest."

Formula 1 entered the ground effect era back in 2022. The British driver scored five victories since then and finished fourth in the standings behind the contenders this season, but he is yet to fight for the world title himself.
Asked about the upcoming regulation change, Russell began: "Can't f****** wait, to be honest. I can't wait.
"I'm glad this season is done and this era is over. It's been so tough for a lot of teams, very difficult to understand, but we've all got a clean slate next year and that's good," he told GPblog.
Looking ahead, the Mercedes driver added: "Right now I'm just thinking about the next couple of days and Christmas
"I'm not getting carried away, but the truth is, no one knows. We're going with an open mind, but I'm feeling good."

Lando Norris claimed his first Formula 1 drivers' title after the season finale at the
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Reacting to the McLaren driver's achievement, he said: "Yeah, I mean, massive. Well done, to be honest. I think especially the second half of the year, he's driven pretty amazingly. And I know it's pretty tense, this last race weekend, but I think it ended up in the right hands."
