Williams: "We are not in F1 driving laps in the back of the field"

Williams have had a dismal two seasons and will be hoping that they are more competitive in 2020. The main plan is to be ready for 2021 when the rules change but Claire Williams is desperate for success this season.
"It is an important year for us now that we have had two bad seasons in a row. Williams is not in Formula 1 to connect at the rear of the grid. We are here to race with the other participants," said Claire to Reuters.
"A third year in a row would take its toll on this team. We don't want that to happen. Our sense of honor and self-respect is too high for that. Williams remains one of the big names in F1 and we have to make sure it returns to the top."
The question is whether they will actually be able to drag themselves from the bottom of the grid. It is most likely that things will change the most in 2021 but Williams will be desperate for an improvement this year.
