The Formula 1 season has been put on hold due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus. The Australian Grand Prix was due to take place last weekend but was called off at the last minute. Haas boss Guenther Steiner does not know when racing will commence.
“Will we race this year? I honestly have no idea,” Guenther Steiner tells Ziggo Sport.
"In the coming days we will see what the year will look like. I expect we will race. Hopefully, the world will get the virus under control and we can start again,” the team boss explains.
Not only has the Australian Grand Prix been canceled but the rest of the upcoming races have also been postponed and it is uncertain whether they will be held this year. For example, the organizations of the Dutch and Spanish Grand Prix have announced that they have not yet received clarity from the FIA.
The FIA will come up with a plan and will hope that the crisis diminishes so that we can go racing.
