Max Verstappen finished qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix in P2, but with pole position potentially within reach. This result confirms that the path Red Bull is on is the right one, according to the reigning world champion. Absolutely. The last three weekends now have been really, really nice.
- Max Verstappen of whether or not momentum is with Red Bull Racing.Since the beginning of the weekend Verstappen and his RB21 have lookd to be fully in contention for the top prizes, much as they have been in the last two races, clinching back-to-back poles and wins in Italy and Azerbaijan. During qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix it was no different.
Is the momentum of the
F1 2025 season with the reigning world champion and
Red Bull Racing?, was the question posed to Verstappen after qualifying.
He said: "Absolutely. The last three weekends now have been really, really nice.

"I mean, up until that point, we were always throwing the set-up left and right because it was just not working," he added, explaining the difficulties Red Bull Racing faced earlier in the season, which have now been overturned, according to the four-time world champion.
He continued: "Sometimes you had a weekend where it was okay, but now, the last three weekends, it's been solid.
"We've just been fine-tuning, and that's exactly what you want throughout the weekend."

Though he still refrains from claiming that the RB21 will operate at the same level for the rest of the season, as some track layouts may play against them still, Verstappen has much more confidence in the current platform of the car.
"Of course, some layouts will be a bit better for us, some probably a bit more difficult, but the basis of the car is a lot more solid, and I think that is what you need."
Why Verstappen failed to fight for pole
After confirming himself as the closest challenger of Russell's during the first round of push laps in Q3, Verstappen found himself improving in Sector 1. But as he made his way through Sector 2, he claims to have been hampered the dirty air coming off the car ahea, Lando Norris's McLaren.
