Max Verstappen waved goodbye to Pierre Gasly on the start-finish straight at the Japanese GP.
Verstappen was previously critical of the current regulations, referring to the current form of racing by comparing it to Mario Kart.
After qualifying at the Japanese Grand Prix, the four-time world champion also hinted at leaving the competition, saying that he has "a lot of stuff to personally figure out".
On Sunday, the Dutchman finished in eighth place, behind the drivers of the three frontrunner teams, and Pierre Gasly.

Verstappen waves goodbye

As the Dutchman was overtaken by the Alpine driver on the front straight, Verstappen simply waved goodbye.
The Red Bull driver was a sitting duck, as he has already deployed his battery, and therefore had no option to defend against his former teammate. See the image below!
