Max Verstappen had a very frustrating Formula 1 race in the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Dutchman was clearly furious on his radio on several occasions, and eventually had to settle for fifth place after colliding with Lewis Hamilton. Given the updates Red Bull had brought for the RB20, Verstappen had hoped for more this weekend. The three-time world champion also sent a clear message to many of his critics after the race.

Verstappen frustrated by Hungarian Grand Prix

Several heated radio messages could be heard from Verstappen's side during the F1 race at the Hungaroring. In particular, Verstappen complained about the performance of his car, but also about his team's strategic choices. At one point, race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase countered this, which only made Verstappen more frustrated.
After the race, the Dutchman had a simple and clear message to those who were criticising him. "They can all f**k off," he replied to the likes of GPblog when asked what he would like to say to these critics. Verstappen stressed that he has been irritated more often, and is now expressing himself more fiercely than usual.
"No, I mean, of course I'm annoyed, but I've been annoyed before. Sometimes you press on the radio to voice your opinion, and that's what I did today. I was hoping that maybe the second pit stop would be a better call, but it wasn't. But for me, that is not distracting when I'm driving. Of course, I'm annoyed but you also then focus back on what you have to do and that's of course control the car." Verstappen said.
