The first day in Jeddah is over for Max Verstappen. An extensive reaction seems out of the question since the FIA has decided to cancel all media sessions with drivers. The Dutchman did post a short reaction on social media.

Verstappen wants to make up for 2021 result

Verstappen is not yet releasing anything about the situation in Jeddah. But he does tell how his first day at the Jeddah International Circuit was: "A good day's work at this very challenging and exciting track," says the Dutchman, who finished second behind Charles Leclerc in both sessions. "It's Qualiday tomorrow, and we have some unfinished business here" he finishes combatively.
Currently, the news is dominated by the rocket attack that took place on Friday some ten kilometres from the circuit. The FIA's decision to allow the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix to go ahead despite those circumstances caused a great deal of outrage.
The same goes for the decision to cancel the media sessions with drivers. Many see this as an attempt to silence the drivers, but it could also have something to do with the meeting that is scheduled for 21:00 UK time. There the situation will be discussed again with the FIA, the teams and the drivers.
