Max Verstappen is totally not concerned with how he will be remembered in the Formula 1. The four-time world champion has achieved what he wanted to achieve, and he is content with that.
Verstappen has already broken a lot of special records in his career. However, the down-to-earth Dutchman has never made it a secret that he could really do without those records.
Verstappen's contract with Red Bull runs until 2028 - unless he decides to make use of any exit clauses. The Dutchman previously stated that for now, he is not thinking about a switch.
"I’ve achieved everything I’ve wanted to achieve already in racing and Formula One," said the Dutchman in an interview with the Daily Mail. "Do I want to win even more? For sure. Am I happy with how this season is going? No, but sometimes that is not in your control."

Max Verstappen categorical about his legacy in Formula 1

Asked how exactly Verstappen wants to be remembered after his retirement, whether in 2028 or later, Verstappen responded: "People make up their minds about what they think (of me). If that’s positive or negative, for me that doesn’t matter."
"I got into Formula One wanting to perform for myself and the people around me," he emphasized. "Not to win seven or eight titles. It doesn’t matter how you’re remembered, at least not in my case."
